Lush Haul

As a mom I don't get a lot of time just to sit back and relax with a book in the bath. What used to be a time of relaxation has now become a daily rushed shower as I try to attend to my 16 month old son. Having a bath has become a weekly treat and what better products to use than those from Lush. I have only started using their products in the last 6 months and currently just cannot get enough of their bath bombs. I went into the Oxford Street branch recently and picked up a few bits and pieces that I thought I would share with you.

Frozen Bath Bomb - £3.95

A stunning two tone blue, this bath bomb captured my attention immediately. Inspired by the Disney film Frozen, this ballistic bath bomb has a beautiful light scent to it that isn't too overwhelming. It contains both Grapefruit Oil and Neroli Oil and has a lovely citrus scent because of it. When I dropped this into the water I was surprised at how long it lasted before disappearing. Far longer than I imagined! As it fizzs and breaks apart it released sparkly blue foam that left my skin feeling well moisturised.

Divination Reusable Bubble Bar

This reusable bubble bar is one of the most unusual looking Lush products I have seen. A bronze glimmering pendulum, it has quite a strong aroma that took me by surprise. Containing patchouli, rose and amber oils, I ran this bubble bar under the tap for a moment or two to create a hug bath of bubbles. I still have a fair amount left so I think it will last for a few more baths yet.

Cyanide Pill

I wasn't really sure what to expect with this bath bomb. Yellow and white in colour and with scents including lemon, rosewood, cedarwood and almond oils, I was unsure of how I would feel about this smell. The scent of this ballistic isn't one of my favourites but the sweet smell of the lemon scent alongside the woody smells was pleasant enough. I loved the reaction this ballistic had with the water. It turned the water a yellow colour and contained a nice amount of glitter. The only drawback for me was how quickly this product dissolved.

Pink Flamingo

Prior to this Lush visit I had never used a reusable bubble bar and I have now used two. The pink flamingo was my favourite of the two reusables as I love the sweeter scented Lush products. Containing bergamot oil, rosewood and ylang ylang, Pink Flamingo didn't disappoint, it's fresh fruity smell was one of my favourite Lush scents.

Guardians of the Forest

The Guardian's of the Forest Bath Bomb was my riskiest purchase as I don't often buy earthy and woody scents. With a two tone green shell this bath bomb contains rosewood and cypress oils, which in turn create a very earthy scent. Guardians of the Forest is a very apt name for this product as once it enters the water it foams creating a sea of deep green water. I found this bath bomb made me relax more in the bath as it's scent was earthy, homely and not too overpowering.
